We have the requisite qualified personnel/staff with the technical skills and experience, infrastructure, and administrative and logistical support for undertaking specific capacity building and training activities.

Board Chairperson

James Keya is a lawyer with extensive experience in government and private sector. He has served in various positions in the governments of Kenya and United States, with a background in public administration, legislation and policy. His objectives are to be a selfless, inspirational with strong values, which can empower others socially, politically and economically and be a dynamic contributor in the development of Africa. He studied law at the University of Warwick, Southampton, University of Cape Town and the National University of Singapore. As a board member, he brings critical experience necessary for harnessing capital and encouraging private-public partnership initiatives in the social and public infrastructure space.

Rozita D'Souza

Rozita has over 7 years’ professional experience in the rights sector and has engaged with pioneer organizations whose focus is in Child Rights, Gender and Disability such as Save the Children International, cbm and the Forum for African Women Educationalists (Kenya Chapter). She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Sociology with a bias in Rural Sociology and Community Development from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. As a Board member of Social Impact Institute Africa, Rozita brings invaluable experience that will steer SII towards a mission she values and identifies with.

Managing Director

Wanjiru is responsible for the overall performance and day-to-day management of the firm, under delegated authority from the Board. She has over 16 years progressive professional experience and has consulted in the social, economic and environmental sectors for clients such as IGAD, the United Nations, Nile Basin Initiative, Global Water Partnership, Nile Basin Discourse, Euroconsult/BMB Mott MacDonald, and additional consultancies in the public sector.

 

Director, Finance and Administration

Vivian is responsible for the accounting/finance and office/administration functions of the organization. She is also responsible for coordinating all training interventions in the organization. Having owned and managed several businesses for over seven years, she has deep knowledge of operational issues including the preparation and submission of reports and filings in compliance with government laws.
